St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

The Beehive Celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day with Harpoon Brewery, Authentic Irish Cuisine and Live Entertainment by Irish Singer/Songwriter Katie McD and her friends.

Celebrate into the wee hours of the morning like only the Irish can with an evening of authentic entertainment including a live performance from Galway The ever-upbeat and fun-loving Katie McD and her dynamic Irish Cross-County Band has a lively Irish-flavored variety show planned. This includes a stellar blending of traditional, contemporary& original Celtic music. Enjoy a glimpse of Ireland  with ballads from the lilting vocals of Katie McD; ‘stories from home’ told by the ever-witty bodhrán player and Tipperary native, Martin Butler; joined by the lovely Danielle Kleeman, Vermont native, on flute, piano and vocals.  New addition, the talented Ciaran Dalton sets the tone with his masterful and melodic Irish tunes on banjo & madolin. He will have you toe- tapping & clapping in the true spirit of St Patrick’s Day!

There also will be a dinner set 630-830 featuring Stuart Peak

An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Stuart is a highly sought-after session leader, performer, and teacher of Irish music. He has performed all over the Northeast United States and in Canada, Ireland, and the UK. While known for his backing expertise, Stuart is also a Mid-Atlantic Fleadh Irish banjo champion, expert mandolinist, and an esteemed tin whistle player

Irish-inspired libations from the evening’s sponsor, Harpoon Brewery, festive à la carte dinner specials and an evening that only The Beehive can create.

Partnering with local favorite Harpoon Brewery, guests can expect delicious cocktails such as Blood & Whiskey, West Cork Irish Whiskey, blood orange, passion fruit and Angostura ($12), Dirty Old Town, West Cork Irish Whiskey, Amaro Averna, Demerara and lemon ($12.5) and craft beer selections such as Harpoon Irish Stout, Harpoon Craic and Harpoon IPA to pair with authentic Irish food. In addition to serving the regular menu, Chef Gregory Torrech is adding an Irish flair to his menu, with Irish-American à la carte specials that include Fish and Ships with tartar sauce, Irish Traditional Boiled Dinner with corned beef, cabbage, mustard and herbed potato, and Shepherd’s Pie.

Katie McD, a Galway Native, represents a new wave of Irish artists remaining true to their roots yet willing to explore the reaches of Irish creativity. With two albums under her belt, Katie McD studied at Berklee College of Music and has established herself as part of the Boston music scene. She has performed at Symphony Hall, The United Nations Consulate Ball, and the Guinness Fleadh.
