Sting! 4:

The Beehive's Fourth Installment in their Continuing Art Series

Did you know The Beehive was just awarded the Best Non-Gallery Art Space by the Boston Phoenix?  Don't miss out on Sting! 4, Portraits, The Beehive's current art exhibition, on view until the end of May.  Come see a diverse selection of portraits while you eat a delicious meal and listen to world-class live jazz.

With Sting! 4, we are excited to be focusing on portraiture, broadly and creatively defined and interpreted in various ways through different mediums.  Featured artists for the evening's event will be: Bill Armstrong - courtesy of Gallery Kayafas,  Hannah Barrett - courtesy of the Howard Yezerski Gallery, Jennifer Davis- courtesy of Walker Contemporary, Jeff Perrott -  courtesy of Barbara Krakow Gallery, Jane D. Marsching - courtesy of Miller Block, Anne Siems - courtesy of Walker Contemporary, Herb Snitzer - courtesy of Gallery Kayafas, Nabila Santa-CristoDoug Weathersby - courtesy of Judi Rotenberg Gallery, and Nick Rodrigues, who created an interactive piece based on “Personal Ads" for the exhibition's opening, however, you still might have a chance for finding love if you peruse his Ad board hung downstairs right off the dining room.

The Beehive Sting! Series is an on-going art series that presents the diversity of art now.  The goal is to find work of the moment that is engaging, challenging and exciting, providing viewers with a broad exposure to contemporary art and providing artists a chance to get outside of the white box. Unlike a gallery or museum, The Beehive is not limited by the confines of an aesthetic agenda and can select a variety of innovative work.

All artwork on view is for sale, inquire with our staff on site or e-mail The Beehive's art director at arts@beehiveboston.com.
