The Beehive’s Bark Brunch!
The Beehive Host’s Dog Friendly Brunch for Local Animal Non-ProfitThe Beehive in Boston’s South End will be holding “The Bark Brunch” on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 10:30AM – 3:30PM to benefit the Companion Animal Protection Society. Bostonian’s and their pet pals will be treated to an al fresco dining experience complete with menu and fare for both human and pooch alike! Sure there will be the good ol’ eggy items for us two-legged folks via the Beehive - but, the good people at Polka Dog Bakery have also jumped in providing your furry friends with menu selections of:
Beggin’ & Eggs Benedict:
Poached egg topped with a turkey patty over a Polka Dog biscuit
-or-
Blueberry Woofles:
Whole wheat mini waffles stuffed with blueberries and topped with a small dab of a yogurt cream cheese blend.
Human food will be served a la carte with prices ranging from $5 - $20; and your choice of the two doggie items listed above are $5 with a percentage of proceeds going the Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS’), which is the only national nonprofit dedicated exclusively to protecting companion animals, CAPS' foremost concern is the abuse and suffering of pet shop and puppy mill dogs. Oprah would be so proud!
Make your way down to the Beehive for the food n’ fun on their newly opened patio called “The BEEch” - no reservations accepted - so run don’t walk - but make sure all puppy pals are on leash!
